What is a "weighted" GPA?
GPA weighted by course credit hours: (grade_points × credits) summed and divided by total credits. This tool always uses weighted math since it's what universities calculate.
Which scale should I use?
Most US universities use 4.0. Some (Yale, Dartmouth historically) use 4.3 with A+ = 4.3. Many US high schools use 5.0 for AP/IB courses. Ask your registrar.
