Frequently asked

Do I need an account or API key?

No. The card library uses the free public Pokémon TCG API which works directly in the browser without authentication.

How many cards can I have in a deck?

Exactly 60 cards. You can have a maximum of 4 copies of any single card, except Basic Energy cards which have no limit.

How does the AI work?

The AI follows legal Pokémon TCG rules: it draws, plays basics to bench, attaches energy, uses trainer cards, evolves when possible, and attacks with its highest-damage move.

What happens when a Pokémon-ex is knocked out?

When a Pokémon-ex (or V/VMAX) is knocked out, the player who knocked it out takes 2 prize cards instead of 1.

Are my decks saved?

Yes. Decks you build are saved in your browser's localStorage under the key "tv:ptcg:decks" and persist across sessions.
