Frequently asked

How is WPM calculated?

WPM = (characters typed ÷ 5) ÷ minutes elapsed. A "word" is standardised as 5 characters so results are comparable across different texts.

What counts as an error?

Any character typed that does not match the prompt at that position counts as an error. Accuracy = (correct chars ÷ total chars typed) × 100.

Can I restart mid-test?

Yes — click Restart or press Escape at any time to reset with a fresh prompt.

Where is my best score saved?

In your browser's localStorage — it persists across sessions on the same device but is not synced to any server.
