Do I need an API key or account?

No. All card data comes from the free public Pokémon TCG API, which works directly in the browser without any authentication.

How accurate are the rarity odds?

The pack generator uses authentic weighting: ~65% Rare, ~23% Rare Holo, ~9% Ultra Rare, ~3% Secret Rare for the rare slot, plus one guaranteed reverse holo in slots 1–9.

Are my pulled cards saved?

Yes. Your collection is saved in your browser's localStorage under "tv:pokemon-packs:collection" and persists across sessions.

What is a reverse holo?

In real TCG packs, one common or uncommon slot has a holographic reverse treatment. This simulator marks one card per pack as reverse holo with a shimmer effect.

What sets are available?

Every set listed on the Pokémon TCG API is available — from the original 1999 Base Set through the latest Scarlet & Violet expansions.
