Frequently asked

Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. The files are loaded into your browser via the File API and processed on-device with pdf-lib. Nothing is sent to any server — you can disconnect the internet after the page loads and merging still works.

Is there a file size limit?

Your browser is the limit. Large PDFs (hundreds of MB) will use a lot of RAM. For most everyday merges (a few dozen MB total), it is instant.

Can I reorder pages?

Yes — drag files up or down in the list to change the order they appear in the merged output. Pages within each file keep their original order.

Are password-protected PDFs supported?

Not currently — pdf-lib requires the PDF to be unlocked. Remove the password in your PDF viewer first, then merge here.
