How to use

  1. 1
    Pick a dimension

Length, mass, volume, time, area, digital storage, speed, or temperature. Each has its own tab.

  2. 2
    Pick source and target units

Both dropdowns support metric, US customary, and imperial units in every dimension.

  3. 3
    Type the value

Enter any number in the input; the converted value updates live in the output.

  4. 4
    Copy or share

Copy the result, or share the URL — your value + units travel in the address bar.

Examples

Kilograms → pounds
Input
Mass · 75 kg → lb
Output
165.35 lb
Metric to US customary. Rounded to 5 significant figures.
Celsius → Fahrenheit
Input
Temperature · 25 °C → °F
Output
77 °F
Uses the standard affine formula (× 9/5 + 32). Room temperature.
GB → GiB (decimal vs binary)
Input
Digital storage · 500 GB → GiB
Output
465.66 GiB
Why your "500 GB" drive shows as "465 GB" in Windows — same bytes, different unit base.
Miles per hour → meters per second
Input
Speed · 60 mph → m/s
Output
26.822 m/s
Highway speed in SI. Useful for physics homework.

Frequently asked

How accurate are the conversions?

Factors follow the standard SI definitions and NIST-published conversions. Precision is IEEE-754 double-precision floating point (~15 significant digits).

Why is there a separate Temperature section?

Temperature uses affine transformations (offsets like +32 for Celsius→Fahrenheit), not just multiplicative factors. Everything else is factor-based and shares the same math.

What about KB vs KiB?

KB is 1000 bytes (decimal, used by disk manufacturers and networking). KiB is 1024 bytes (binary, used by RAM and operating systems). Both are provided; use whichever your context demands.
